Yesterday I was at the library for a very long time. (Yes, school has started.) It closes at 8 pm and when the evening was near I got the idea to bike up to the castle and watch the sunset from there. Said (thought) and done. I checked the time at the internet (7.28 pm), packed my bag at 7.15 and got there just in time to see the sky shifting from yellow to pink to red and then slowly fade away to give place for the darkness…The funny thing was that I actually met someone up there, who was there for the same reason as me. Placed at one of the cannons to get a shot from a little higher level I sudenly heard a person behind me so I turned and greeted him and we had a nice chat about sunset, clouds, hills and Switzerland while watching the beautiful sky. A great end of the day!

So. First, I don’t really do nightphotos. And second, I sold my tripod. And third, I don’t have an external flash. But still, here is a small attempt to show how beautiful my hometown can be after that the day has come to an end. As you may notice there are only three photos from two views shown, but according to my shakey hands I think that’s ok.
