Yesterday I ran around wearing only shorts and a sport top. Do I have to say something else? It was wonderful and fantastic and maybe the best Saturday in weeks. And while I was biking along the river I noticed that the light was perfect and the reflections from the trees in the water was really nice so I raced home and got my camera and ran back. (Instead of staying inside to study, as planned…) And suddenly I saw a glimplse of something blue in the grass… …Which was the only reason why I spent maybe 1 hour or at least half an hour crawling on the ground… I cursed that I hadn’t brought my macro lense, but tried to do something creative whith what I carried with me… And here’s a sneak-peak;)

return of winter

So. Everyone in Uppsala and the rest of Sweden I believe, thought that spring was here to stay, but I guess we just forgot that it’s only March yet, because this is what it looked like today. It started to snow again a couple of days ago and this day snow started in the morning and hasn’t stopped yet…

How is it at your places? Still snow and cold just like here?;)

This spring is actually pretty extraordinary here in Sweden. It’s higher temperatures than it use to be in March and now, flowers have begun to show up. It’s so fascinating to obeserve people on the streets this time at the year, because almost everybody smiles, compared to the wintertimes when most people look angry or tired or at least nonchalant. Great changes, in other words! I hope you have great weather as well!

Ps All photos today was shot with my 35 (1-1.8) lense. Can’t wait until I got my 90/2.8 back from a friend I lend it to the past weekend!! So good to have when things start to grow outside again. Ds

to survive one more time

It’s so strange sometimes. When I went to high school I could almost tell if a test’d turn out good or bad, but now, while studying at the university it’s all upside down. I almost always believe that I’m going to fail, and then a couple of weeks later the resualt is back and it wasn’t as bad as I thought at all. Last week wasn’t a exception. And of course it’s great in the end, but the time between test and feed-back really is my definition of hell. Anyone else?!

Enough said about that. Has been a while since I entered here. Guess I’d better cling on to my snow/cold/winter-theme (even if it almost feels like spring is slowly beginning to reach my town). Here’s another one from this day.

paus (and a x-mas without snow)

So. I really don’t know how it happened, but when logging in on my account I just realized that I haven’t written in almost a month. Well, I guess other thing has stolen my time (like x-mas prep’s even if I don’t even like it, family, school and stuff like that) but maybe now, when it’s even new year it’s time for a little re-start. Don’t expect to much though, since I’ve a pretty big test in like 9 days or something like that but still I thougt it was nice just to drop in and say hello.

X-mas in Uppsala wasn’t really a snowy one. Actually it wasn’t any white at all. Green, green and a little of brown is all that you see wherever you go. And the temperature is almost like late Oct-Nov or Feb-March something. Which is very very weird. Well. Nice in some ways, absolutely. (For runners, for everyone who doesn’t like freezing and for those who like to go by bike.) But you also get this weird feeling that x-mas maybe never really happened this year. Because the x-mas-vacation always use to be snowy, and now; nothing. Also, it’s easy to understand that it must get colder sooner or later since it cannot be like this and then just start getting warmer since it’s still only January. And because of that it could of course’ve been nice to get those really freezing days during x-mas instead. Well. I’ll just stop complain. It’s really not a problem for me anyway.
I hope everyone else had a great x-mas, white or green!
