So. Everyone in Uppsala and the rest of Sweden I believe, thought that spring was here to stay, but I guess we just forgot that it’s only March yet, because this is what it looked like today. It started to snow again a couple of days ago and this day snow started in the morning and hasn’t stopped yet…
How is it at your places? Still snow and cold just like here?;)
It’s so strange sometimes. When I went to high school I could almost tell if a test’d turn out good or bad, but now, while studying at the university it’s all upside down. I almost always believe that I’m going to fail, and then a couple of weeks later the resualt is back and it wasn’t as bad as I thought at all. Last week wasn’t a exception. And of course it’s great in the end, but the time between test and feed-back really is my definition of hell. Anyone else?!
Enough said about that. Has been a while since I entered here. Guess I’d better cling on to my snow/cold/winter-theme (even if it almost feels like spring is slowly beginning to reach my town). Here’s another one from this day.
Pink Burning Winter Sky, Uppsala, December 2013 (c) mbee
Without doubt the coolest sky I’ve seen so far this winter. I was a sitting in the library when I heard the girl sitting next to me whisper to her friend and pointing at the window, took a glance and went totally stunned. The whole sky was covered in dark pink and the view was marvelous. I ran out asap, but unfortunately I only had my phone, so this pic cannot give that view fairness, but no matter what, I just had to show you!
At first of December every year since 24 years back the local newspaper organizes their yearly fireworkshow for the readers. It’s very fun bacause almost the whole town come to see the show which makes it pretty difficult and slow to go home afterwards, no matter if you walk, go by bike, or car, well car is definitely worst, but you get stuck anyway. This year it was very windy, and you started to wonder if they’d have to postpone it to next weekend by safety reasons, but they decided to try anyway. Great as always, but it was so windy, that everything kind of blowed to the left as soon as reaching a bit of high. So I thought that I’d show you some old pics from the show two years ago instead. I really like fireworks.
I hope everyone had a great first December, like me. A very longed-for person finally returned home after weeks of absence, I made gingerbreads, we had some cosy time with cakes, candles and glogg. Great times!
Watching old summerpics filled with memories and ladybirds on is really nice sometimes. Especially when this is how it looks outside in the real world. I mean, welcome to the reality… November of Sweden, still no snow but frost for sure!
